Directing the future of Korean industry
Industrial Engineering (I.E.) handles the integrated systems which consist of man, material, facilities, information and systems. In order to manage and control systems effectively, I.E. provides scientific theories and methods for modeling, analyzing and controlling systems. As main research areas, Management Science, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factor Engineering, Optimization, Information Engineering and others have been studied. This program aims at nurturing experts with integrated knowledge and advanced techniques, in order to predict technological trends, to control information and knowledge efficiently, to design human-oriented systems and to manage engineering projects. In addition, the program pursues innovative knowledge, theories and applications for solving contemporary engineering issues and problems using co-operations with industries and related organizations.
