Creative and critical roles in domestic and overseas industries and R&D parts
Department of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering
Our goal is to educate and train people for playing creative and critical roles in domestic and overseas industries and R&D parts and for leading to future advanced materials industries after graduation through education from fundamentals of metallic, ceramic, polymer, and electronic materials to applications such as structural, energy, functional, semiconductor, and display materials.
3 Specialized Tracks in Materials Science and Engineering
- Nano and Structural Materials Track : Study microstructure, mechanical properties, corrosion, heat treatment, alloy design, fabrication process, and their inter-relationships for ferrous and non-ferrous materials and characterizations such as X-ray diffractometry and electron microscopy for steel and non-steel industries, automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, and IT industries
- Energy and Functional Materials Track : Study electrochemical and ceramic properties, energy storage materials, and its fabrication process and characterizations for battery, fuel cell, solar cell, glass, ceramic, recycling, and IT industries
- Information and Electronic Materials Track : Study electrical properties and characterization of electronic materials and devices such as semiconductors, thin film property and vacuum technology, information display engineering, and LED for semiconductor, display, and IT industries
