Department of Energy and Chemical Engineering is dealing with the energy science which is cutting-edge field of 21st century knowledge-based society, as well as traditional chemical engineering. In graduate student program, students will learn about the latest research trends for clean energy such as fuel cell, secondary battery, and photovoltaics which are recently get a lot of attention for the continuance of human life on earth. It also covers highly-advanced chemical process, thermodynamics, rheology, and material chemisty which are the key knowledge of chemical engineering.
Objectives of Education
The eduction objectives of our department is to train chemical engineers with problem-solving skills based on fundamental knowledge and creative thinking/approaches to chemical engineering problems. It is also to make professional engineers with integrated technology: educating and experiencing new advanced technologies through an integrated education system of energy science and engineering and chemical engineering with NT, BT, IT, and ET. The graduate students will be engineers with global capability and hands-on experiences of collecting, analyzing, and understanding engineering-based information, so thatthey can contribute themselves to our society and future.
