Representative Projects
Distributed processing of Snort alert log using Hadoop
- Period: 2013.5.1. ~ 2014.4.30
- Objective: to develope an integrated alert system on huge server system
- Methods: A Snort process works as an NIDS in each server node → Chuckwa processes gather logs generated by Snorts and gather into a controller using Hadoop framework → The controller issues alerts according to log levels.
- Effects: distribute workloads of NIDS over the entire system.
Image processing improvement using CUDA
- Objective: to speed up image filtering process
- Methods: improves legacy parallel image filtering process by increasing parallelism in CUDA library
- Effects: Gaussian filter speeds up to 2 times; improved parallel integral histogram reduces memory leakage.
