• 2004. 01 Established the Industry-academic Cooperation Foundation of KIT
• 2004. 06 Selected in the New University for Regional Innovation (NURI)(1 large-, 1 mid-, and 1 small-scaled projects)
• 2004. 12 Completed transfer of the new campus (Yangho-dong)
• 2005. 02 Established contracted departments and concluded anagreement of operation (School of Electronic Engineering, School of Computer Engineering-Department of Mobile Engineering)
• 2005. 02 Completed the Yangho-dong Campus(Site : 209,800 square meters / Buildings : 21 / Building area : 37,300 square meters)
• 2005. 03 Dr. Choi Hwan appointed as the fourth president
• 2005. 10 Selected in the New University for Regional Innovation (NURI)
• 2005. 12 Selected to be an advanced project group by the BK21 Project’s"The First Phase Brain Korea 21 Project"

• 2009. 03 Dr. Woo Hyung-sik appointed as the fifth president
